So you want to do something special for Valentine's Day but Christmas left you a little strapped for cash? Fear not! We have some excellent ways to show your loved ones a good time from the comfort of your own home. Doing Valentines Day on a budget isn't cheap, it's smart. And this way you can save your pennies for the Summer of weddings!
Cards can be delivered in person or you can post them a couple days before Valentine's day at the latest (with a first class stamp) to be sure your friends and loved ones receive their card on or before the 14th February.
2. Once the Valentine's Day card is sorted, we look at food options. If you're entertaining, find out their favourite meal and treats and ensure it's in the house. If you're cooking for one then treat yourself! You can take the stress out of the evening by buying something ready made or a take-a-way. But if cooking is your thing then splash out, get some quality produce and have a ball. Steak and chips, Spaghetti Carbonara, Veggie curry can all be created for less that £15 per person and you might even have change to buy a tasty pud too.
3. To finish the evening my recommendation will always be a fantastic film. If you're looking for a classic Valentine's Day film then have a look at Notting Hill, Before Sunset or Pride and Prejudice (Either one). If you're with your girls then might I suggest Harry Potter, Bridget Jone's Diary or She Said. If you're with your parents then Salt Burn (joking joking!) A Star is Born ( the latest one), Gladiator, The Godfather. If you're wanting a good cry then try One Day, Past Lives or Call Me By Your Name. And if you're looking for a scare then try Piggy, Valentine or Bram Stoker's Dracula (These three have been recommended to me as I refuse watch scary films)
And there you have it, the perfect way to do Valentine's Day without even leaving your home.
